7:00am: Please plan on getting to the park early. There is a high likelihood of a long line to get into Castaic for this event, so the earlier the better! To make the line go faster, please have the exact amount of $11 which is the fee Castaic charges to get into the park.

To avoid the lines at the sign in table, go to REI Woodland Hills October 28th from 3pm-7pm to pick up your packets, drop off your waiver and get signed in! 8am: Sign in at the registration booth. Please make sure to bring your signed waiver with you to sign in when you pick up your goodie bag and bike plate. The waiver is required! Print it here: Event Waiver. All participants are required to have a GGR bike plate on their bikes. Goodie bags go out to the 1st 250 riders that check in. 8am: Demo bike pick up...If you reserved a demo bike from any of the bike companies, you need to pick it up at 8am so you can have it fit in time for the morning commencement and guided rides. Bring your own pedals if you want to use them. Make sure to pick up your 10 extra raffle tickets for trying a demo bike! Every bike companies demo bike you try, you will receive an extra 10 raffle tickets just for demoing one of their bikes! So make sure you demo a bike from every bike company there! 8:15am: Coaches meeting...All coaches report to Leigh Donovan 8:30am: Ride volunteer meeting, including coaches 9:00am: Morning commencement/ride/clinic instructions given by Wendy Engelberg/Guest Speakers: Leigh Donovan & Steve Messer CORBA Intro of event sponsors CORBA, REI, Leah Dilbeck Intro of coaches, intro of chapter directors 9:20am: Group photo, photo of coaches, photo of ride leader volunteers 9:30am: Guided rides and skill clinics begin: Guided rides to line up in the parking lot in this order: Black Diamond Blue Riders 2 Blue Riders 1 Greenie 2 Greenie 1 Kids Ride Ride leaders will hold up signs so you know how to line up. Volunteers will divide you into smaller groups for each guided ride. All guided rides must be back to the staging area no later than 12:30pm. 12:15pm: Lunch, exhibitors, purchase your raffle tickets. There will be food trucks at the event plus coffee in the morning. You are also welcome to bring your own lunch and drinks. 1:45pm: CORBA membership raffle drawing 2:00pm: Awards: Community Award Best GGR Spirit Awards Appreciation Awards Raffle drawings ending with grand prize presentations from REI: Raffle tickets: 1 sheet of 25 raffle tickets for $20 per sheet 2:45pm: Closing remarks |
