GGR Welcomes Mountainbike For Her to Rocktober!

6/28/2015

Picture
Mountainbike For Her is an online magazine for women's mountain biking. Read about bike festivals, bike parks around the world, skills articles, women's product's reviews, clothing reviews, event reports, pictures, videos and more! All based around the women's mountain bike scene! Mountainbike For Her will be including a very special gift in each and every goodie bag handed out at this year's Rocktober!

An example of their June/July issue:
Mountain Bike for Her: Issue 7 – June/July 2015Posted on June 3, 2015 by MTB 4 Her • 2 Comments
With Issue 7, we embark on our second year of publication and we’re looking forward to the adventure!

Our writers are also getting more personal with us. Tracey Croke shares how mountain biking helps her maintain her mobility and Kat Glover reflects on how going for a ride helps her deal with imminent loss. We also have another great article from Jim Barron on maintaining the attack/ready position to help us hone our skills! Regular event coverage can be boring, so we decided to look for the weird, wonderful and wacky at the 2015 Sea Otter! And we found it…

Articles in Issue 7 include:

  • Inspiration: Finding My Mountain Bike Groove
  • Self-Awareness: Flip the Switch to Beast Mode
  • Profile: Pump It Up! Micayla Gatto Talks Pump Tracks
  • Tips: The Attack Position
  • Training: Making the Most Out of Training
  • Reflection: Coping with Loss By Hitting the Trails
  • Etiquette: We Could All Use More Friends
  • Events: The Weird, The Wonderful and the Wacky: The 2015 Sea Otter Classic

GGR Welcomes The Diva Cup to this year's ROCKTOBER event!

6/26/2015

Picture
The DivaCup is a reusable, bell-shaped menstrual cup that is worn internally and sits low in the vaginal canal, collecting rather than absorbing your menstrual flow. Menstrual cups have existed since the 1930s when women were searching for an alternative to the choices of the time. Yet, its breakthrough into the feminine hygiene industry is much more recent.

Many women feel uneasy about changing their menstrual care routine. Years of dealing with the sights and odors of disposable tampons and pads cause the familiar reaction: “ick!”. The DivaCup empowers women to connect with their bodies and menstrual cycles like never before. Perfect for all activities (air, land or sea), its easy care and use make for a better period experience. Wear The DivaCup for up to 12 hours without leaks or worry.

The DivaCup Features:
  • 12 hour leak-free protection!
  • Made from the highest quality healthcare grade silicone to assure comfort and durability.
  • Does not contain any of the following: latex, plastic, PVC, acrylic, acrylate, BPA, phthalate, elastomer, polyethylene, and free of colors and dyes.
  • Reusable and eco-friendly – no waste, no chemicals.
  • Features extra grip ridges for easier removal.
  • Cleared for marketing by the US FDA and the Australian TGA and the only reusable menstrual cup allowed to be sold in Canada by Health Canada.
  • Diva International Inc. is the only ISO 13485:2003 certified menstrual cup manufacturer and head office in the world!
Discover the healthy, “non-ick” alternative to traditional feminine hygiene products. Join women worldwide by switching to The DivaCup today!

GGR is so very, very stoked & proud to welcome Turner Bikes to this year's GGR Rocktober event October 18th at Malibu Creek State Park.

www.turnerbikes.com

From the first models in 1994,Turner Bikes has always made mountain bike frames that fit women exceptionally well. With our unique frame dimensions (tube/top-tube/ seat tubes lengths) specific to each size, we've made it possible to fit the spectrum of upper to lower body proportions in all size riders.

We have always believed that women should have the highest performance designs available. Women riders should not be compelled to purchase women’s specific bikes that may not have the high-end componentry and geometry offered to their male counterparts.  Often times, more resources are spent picking trendy colors and creating marketing campaigns, than designing a bike that truly fits a rider. We have always brought our top of the line designs to every size we make, including wheel travel and shock specifications, resulting in the same exceptional handling and performance.

Turner Bikes fully understands that many women are interested in achieving their highest riding potential possible and demand the utmost standards in equipment. Our ability to deliver this is backed up with multiple elite women's World and National Championships, won on production frames! To further create the perfect blend of fit and performance we offer custom setup options direct from the factory:  saddle profile, bar width, stem lengths, color and rider fit.

A bit about Jenson USA:

"We’ve all experienced the beauty of the trail or the freedom of the open road. For many, cycling presents a world of possibilities and opportunities at every turn. At Jenson USA, our passion for cycling sprouted back in 1994 and has since taken root and grown into a community of people devoted to living life to its fullest. We're building a culture of people who respect each other, set the pace, and lead through service. We strive daily to better serve our customers, our fellow employees, and our community. Over the years we’ve found that happy people are hardworking people, and that the time we spend on two wheels together builds the greatest profit of all.

We all approach life with different stories and special experiences that have shaped us into who we are as individuals. Deep down, it's a love of adventure that brings us together, inspires us to push the limits of what we are capable of, and daily rediscover the freedom found when we first started pedaling."
